East Ultimate

That's right. I'd totally link some more pictures or something, but I think they're all on facebook...

Suffice to say: sweet!

This is mostly to the parents out there who may occasionally visit the site, but haven't heard anything in awhile. Joris and Canyon took quite a few good photos of the East Invite (i.e., the game vs. Woodward on Sunday). See Canyon's and Joris's* photos.

*Begone, grammar Nazis - possesive/plural after the letter S is a widely debated topic. Last I heard, you use the extra S if you would pronounce the extra S in real life, and leave it off otherwise.

Lest the lack of updates in the 'photos' section led y'all believe that East Ultimate has ceased to exist or is comprised completely of invisible ninjas, evidence has been uncovered that suggests quite the contrary. While there seem to be quite a few ninjas on the line these days, they are occasionally visible--at least to Canyon's arsenal of Nikons. Witness, then, the most recent spy shots and marvel at the skill, grace, and rugged good looks of East's finest.

I remember this time of the season well. In one week from now, you all will know who won the open and mixed Colorado High School ultimate championships. That’s cool, I guess. By this time there should be some pump-up letters circulating on the mailing lists; if not, someone’s slacking and should get on that. Y’all should be a little bit excited right now.

Hey everyone. This will likely end up being kind of a long blog post, but I think most of what I'm going to say here is pretty important, unlike what I say most of the rest of the time.

First, I'd just like to congratulate everyone in the organization on their performance this weekend, especially the girls. Guys won nine-als, girls made finals. I think we all can see who the real winners among us are. Sorry if the male contingent was less than awesome as a sideline, but many among us were absolutely gone. I'd say that we'll be better at Madison, but if I have my way, we'll be playing in finals on the fields right next to you there. And oh yes, it is possible. More on that later.
